Discovering Music

  • AVAILABLE TO: all Charleston area homeschool students

  • AGE RANGES: 9th-12th grade students 

  • CLASS TYPE: co-ed 

  • FEES: 

    • $20 per month for the Discovering Music class. (weekly Zoom class)

    • The cost for the online course is $30 per semester- $60 for the year. 

  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS: see course description

  • MEETING DAY of the WEEK:Class would meet on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 -12:00 or 3:00 - 4:30. (I would consider Tuesday mornings if there is a need)

  • Classes to begin September 16th

  • MEETING LOCATION: Zoom or Webex

Details:

I love music and have been a piano teacher for the past 19 years. I would like to offer a Music Appreciation Class for high schoolers. This would be an online class using Zoom or Webex (I will consider other options).

 

The online  course is called Discovering Music.  Students will receive a discount for the online version of the course at www.ProfessorCarol.com by signing up through me.  Parents may also choose to purchase a hard copy of the student book, DVD lectures and teacher's manua at a discount through mel.  The content is the same for both.

 

The hour and a half class meetings would consist of a review of the information in the video lectures, terms, people, events, etc. There are listening assignments with links to online performances which we will review and weekly projects to present or submit.
